This page explains how hostnow.my, operated by HostNow Builders Sdn. Bhd., uses cookies and similar browser storage. We have kept our cookie footprint deliberately small — this is a builder’s website, not an advertising platform.
What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file a website places in your browser so it can remember something about your visit — a preference, a session, a setting. Cookies cannot run programs or read files on your device. Alongside cookies, sites can use local storage, which serves a similar remembering purpose but never leaves your browser.
What We Actually Set
Strictly necessary
- PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) — created when you open a page with our contact form. It protects the form against cross-site request forgery and expires when you close your browser.
Preferences
- hnb_consent — records whether you pressed “Accept” or “Reject” on our cookie banner, so we do not ask you again on every page. Stored as both a cookie and a local storage entry, kept for up to 180 days.
That is the complete list. We do not set advertising cookies, we do not embed social media trackers, and third-party fonts are loaded without any cookie being placed by us.
Your Choices
When you first visit, a banner offers Accept and Reject. Rejecting does not break the site — strictly necessary cookies still operate because the contact form cannot function safely without them. You can change your decision at any time using the cookie settings button (the small gear in the lower-left corner of every page).
Managing Cookies in Your Browser
Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies for individual sites. Look under Settings → Privacy in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. Blocking all cookies for hostnow.my will prevent the contact form from submitting, but every page will still be readable.
